Summary
Before building, altering or demolishing any structure in unincorporated Hall County, an owner must obtain a building permit under UDC § 1.2.1, plus comply with the codes adopted in Chapter 15.10; the Building Official can withhold permits until every UDC requirement is met, subject to appeal.
No building, structure or part thereof may be constructed, erected, enlarged, altered, repaired, changed, converted, moved or demolished without first obtaining a building permit and other permits as may be required by law, except as provided. In the enforcement of the provisions of this UDC, the Building Official may withhold building or occupancy permits until all provisions of this Unified Development Code are complied with or their decision is appealed to and reversed by the Planning Commission.
