Chapter 167, Construction Codes, Uniform, creates a State Uniform Construction Code Enforcing Agency inside the Township government. Section 167-1 lists five required officials: a Construction Official who chairs the agency, plus separate building, plumbing, electrical and fire protection subcode officials, with room for whatever additional subcode officials the state Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs later adds to the Uniform Construction Code. C. 5:23, and the Township may let one qualified person fill more than one seat. The public deals with this agency at the office of the Superintendent of the Division of Construction Inspections, at the Hamilton Township Municipal Building, 2090 Greenwood Avenue, Trenton, New Jersey 08609, except in emergencies.
