Section 167-2A(19) lays out the plumbing fee schedule administered by the plumbing subcode official Hamilton Township is required to appoint under § 167-1A. For residential plumbing, the base charge is $30 per fixture, appliance or appurtenance tied into the system, a category reaching water closets, urinals, lavatories, sinks, tubs, showers, dishwashers, clothes washers, hose bibs, drinking fountains, floor drains, sump pumps and replacement backflow preventers. Special devices, including sewage ejectors, newly installed backflow preventers, chimney liners, booster pumps, emergency generators and fluid-based solar systems, cost $80 each, and each sewer or water service line is $50.

Mechanical equipment tied to the plumbing system on R-3 and R-5 residential structures, such as furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps, boilers, water heaters, chimney liners, gas fireplaces, emergency generators and LPG tanks, is billed $80 apiece, with air-conditioning units, refrigerant lines and condensate or sump pumps at $30 and gas or fuel oil piping runs at $30 per appliance. No residential plumbing permit, regardless of the itemized total, can cost less than $65. Commercial plumbing scales up: $35 per fixture, $100 per special device, $100 per 100 feet of sewer or water service, and $100 for each furnace, air conditioner, boiler, water heater or LPG tank, with a $100 commercial minimum.

A $50-per-hour update plan review fee, one-hour minimum, applies to both categories if reviewed plans change, and the annual cross-connection control program adds $50 for every testable backflow device.
