Village of Ridgewood Code § 125-1(A) establishes the Department of Building and Inspections as the local Uniform Construction Code enforcing agency and specifically creates the position of Electrical Subcode Official, alongside the Construction Official, Building, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Subcode Officials. Those positions are filled only by state-qualified personnel designated by the Village Manager, with the Construction Official serving as chief administrator. The electrical subcode fee schedule in § 145-6 prices routine device work, outlets, fixtures, receptacles, wall switches, fluorescent fixtures, line-voltage smoke detectors, low-voltage fire and burglar alarm systems, and fractional-horsepower motors, at $5 per device, with a $100 minimum charge per permit.
