Under § 14-1.11, violating this section, the State Uniform Construction Code Act, or its regulations, or building contrary to permit conditions, carries a penalty of not more than $2,000. Anyone who knowingly refuses an inspector lawful entry to inspect, or unreasonably interferes with an inspection, is subject to a separate fine of not more than $250. Each day of noncompliance with a stop-construction order is a separate offense, and the enforcing agency may issue a stop-construction order in writing stating the reasons and conditions for resuming work.
