Waynesville, MO Building Safety: Plumbing Permits (2026)

Chapter 500 of the Waynesville Municipal Code adopts the plumbing trade code by amendment rather than fresh drafting: § 500.010 adopts the 2006 Edition of the International Plumbing Code and then revises specific numbered sections of it. The City renamed itself into the code's jurisdiction blank at Section 101.1 ('the name of the jurisdiction is City of Waynesville'), and tied the code's fee-schedule cross-reference at Section 106.6.2 to the City's own attached Fee Schedule Exhibit A rather than the model code's blank. Section 106.6.3's refund percentages for withdrawn permit applications were set at seventy-five percent in one paragraph and eighty percent in another.

The penalty sections were filled in directly: Section 108.4 makes any offense under the plumbing code punishable by a fine of up to $500 and up to 90 days, and Section 108.5 sets a minimum fine of $50 rising to the same $500 maximum. Two dimensional sections were also localized: Section 305.6.1 was set at 36 inches in both places it appears, and Section 904.1 was set at 12 inches. Because § 500.010 amends the plumbing code rather than replacing it outright, the unamended balance of the 2006 IPC still governs plumbing work inside Waynesville alongside these local numbers.
