Terrebonne Parish Code section 28-47(a)(4) sets the yard requirements for R-1 Single-Family Residential Districts: a front yard of 20 feet, side yards of 5 feet, and a rear yard of 25 feet, measured except as provided in article IV. The same three setbacks apply in R-2 Two-Family Districts (low density) under section 28-47(b)(4). Section 28-47(a)(2) pairs these setbacks with a minimum building site area of 6,000 square feet for a one-family dwelling in R-1, and 10,000 square feet for other permitted uses, showing the yard table works alongside a minimum lot size rather than standing alone.

These standards apply only within the zoned areas of Terrebonne Parish, principally the former City of Houma limits, where Chapter 28 is in force; unzoned portions of the parish are not subject to this table.
