In Bloomfield Township, all native and non-native bamboo, running or clumping, is an invasive plant under Chapter 423. The owner and occupant of a property with bamboo must confine it so it does not spread onto other private premises or a public place, and the Township can require removal at the expense of the owner where it originated.
