Flood Elevation
Any new or substantially improved residential structure in a Greenville special flood hazard area must have its lowest floor, including basement, built no lower than the regulatory flood protection elevation, base flood elevation plus two feet of freeboard. Manufactured homes, ductwork and mechanical equipment must clear the same line, and the City Engineer administers compliance as Local Floodplain Administrator under City Code Chapter 9-6.
