Food Truck Permits

Food truck regulation in Jacksonville was largely preempted by Florida law effective July 1, 2020, which eliminated the requirement for a City of Jacksonville street vendor permit. However, vendors must obtain and display all required State of Florida permits, a DBPR Mobile Food Dispensing Vehicle license, and a Duval County Local Business Tax Receipt per Jax Ord. Code §770/§772/§250.103(c). A Jacksonville Fire Prevention Office inspection is still required. Distance restrictions apply per Ch. 250, Part 12.
