Short-Term Rental Permits
Santee has no dedicated short-term rental permit ordinance. Every hotel or transient-lodging operator, including a short-term rental host renting for 30 days or less, must register with the Tax Administrator and obtain a Transient Occupancy Registration Certificate within 30 days of starting business, under Santee Municipal Code Section 3.16.060; the certificate must stay posted on the premises.
