Every outdoor swimming pool, spa and hot tub in Santee, whether in-ground, above-ground or on-ground, needs a barrier at least 60 inches tall under Municipal Code Section 11.32.050. Openings can't pass a four-inch sphere, and access gates must be self-closing, self-latching, and open away from the pool with a locking device set at least 54 inches above grade.
