Solicitor Permits
Aiken County requires anyone peddling, selling, or soliciting door-to-door on private property in the unincorporated county to register with the Clerk of Court, pass a SLED background check, and carry a license before knocking on a single door. Solicitation is barred outside 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and posted No Soliciting signs make entry a crime. Fees run fifty to one hundred dollars.
