Air conditioners, compressors, power fans, blowers and other fixed mechanical equipment can't run in unincorporated Alachua County if they cause excessive, unnecessary noise beyond what proper muffling and noise-suppression devices would produce. Section 110.03(g) makes uncontrolled HVAC and compressor noise a standalone violation of the county's Chapter 110 noise code.

Bar & Nightclub Noise
Bars, nightclubs and other commercial venues in unincorporated Alachua County may not play music, use sound amplifiers or run PA systems so loudly that the sound is plainly audible 50 feet beyond the property line. Section 110.03(b) of the noise-control code makes this a standalone violation, enforced by the Sheriff's Office regardless of the decibel reading.
