Alachua County Code § 74.29 bans creating, keeping, or allowing a 'hazardous land' or 'dangerous structure' on real property in unincorporated Alachua County. Under § 74.32, the Office of Codes Enforcement must first notify the owner and demand repair or abatement; if the cost of repairing a damaged structure exceeds 50% of its assessed value, the certified building official can order demolition after 30 days' notice.
