Rodent Control
Alamance County's Solid Waste Management Ordinance requires garbage to be kept in durable, rodent-proof containers and bans storing solid waste in any way that creates food or harborage for rodents, vermin or other nuisance animals. Containers must have tight-fitting covers, cap out at 96 gallons, and perishable garbage cannot sit more than a week.
