In unincorporated Bonner County, Idaho, a fence or wall taller than 36 inches cannot sit closer than 40 feet from the shoreline. Fences in other locations within 40 feet of shorelines, including those parallel to the water, are prohibited, and the restriction does not reach fences for pasturing livestock.
