Syringe Disposal

Collier County bans needles, medication and other hazardous waste from curbside garbage carts. Sec. 118-104(C)(1) of the solid waste ordinance requires households to carry hypodermic devices (sharps), suitably contained in a heavy plastic container, along with pharmaceutical and medicinal waste, to a county Recycling Drop-Off Center or the Hazardous Materials Collection Center instead.
