Park Event Permits

Any group planning to use a Fayette County park for more than five people, whether for a picnic, party, sports event, or performance, must get a permit from the parks and recreation department first under Code of Fayette County, Georgia Sec. 18-9. The department can require an indemnity bond or on-site security, and it grants the permit only if the group won't interfere with everyone else's use of the park.

Parade Permits

Anyone organizing a parade or public assembly in unincorporated Fayette County must get a permit from the sheriff before the event, per Code § 16-94(a). Permits cost $12.00 per hour per assigned officer inside the county's central traffic districts, filed 10 to 30 days ahead under § 16-95.
