Prohibited Species
Flagler County bars planting poisonous or exotic pest plant species in any planned or dedicated public right-of-way in the unincorporated county, as part of the same section that regulates all right-of-way landscaping and irrigation. The Land Development Code separately flags Brazilian pepper, Australian pine, punk tree and Chinese tallow as 'nuisance' species exempt from the county's tree-preservation permitting.
