Agricultural Zoning Protection

Frederick County zones nearly all of its unincorporated land outside Winchester, Stephens City and Middletown as RA, Rural Areas, and Table IV-2 of the Zoning Ordinance caps density there at one dwelling unit per five acres on a minimum five-acre lot, protecting farmland from being carved into small residential parcels.
