Syringe Disposal
In unincorporated Glynn County, anyone who uses or discards hypodermic needles, syringes, or injection devices must dispose of them in puncture-resistant, leak-proof containers labeled and color-coded as biohazardous material under County Code § 2-16-235(b). Disposable needles must go into rigid, taped-shut or tightly lidded containers that fully contain the contents before disposal, and every filled container must meet all federal, state and local disposal laws.
