In the St. Simons Village Design Review Overlay District, unincorporated Glynn County requires Islands Planning Commission approval before any building, structure, wall, sidewalk or landscape feature is erected, reconstructed, altered, restored, moved or demolished. Applications are judged against massing, articulation and fenestration standards under Glynn County Zoning Ordinance § 709.4, and incompatible designs are grounds for disapproval.
