Bike Lane Rules

On Jefferson County's multiuse bike paths, cyclists and e-bike or e-scooter riders must give an audible warning before passing, yield the right-of-way to pedestrians, and stay single file along the extreme right-hand side of the path at all times under Sec. 12-29(b).

Electric bicycle (e-bike, e-bicycle) means a bicycle that is equipped with fully operative pedals for propulsion by human power and an electric motor of 750 watts or less and as defined by Wis. Stats. § 340.01.
