Frequency, Duration & Permits

Rural Josephine County allows yard sales, garage sales, estate sales, auctions, beverage stands, and rummage or craft sales from a residence outright, without a home occupation permit, under JCC § 19.92.090(B). Each sale is capped at four days, and a property cannot host more than 10 such sales in a calendar year.

Such sales shall not exceed four days in duration and occur more than 10 times in any given calendar year. Examples of such uses are typically known as: yard or garage sales, estate sales, auctions, beverage stands, rummage and craft sales.
