Native Plants
In rural Josephine County, outside the Grants Pass and Cave Junction urban growth boundaries, the Rural Land Development Code generally bars removing vegetation within a stream's riparian corridor setback. JCC § 19.72.040(B)(2)(j) carves out an exception, letting property owners remove nonnative vegetation there without extra review as long as it is replaced with native plant species.
