Park Event Permits

Kent County requires a permit from the Parks Division to reserve a recreation building, pavilion or grounds for exclusive use, to hold a cultural or recreational special event or pageant on park property, or to sell food or beverages there. Applications are due 15 days before the event and carry a fee plus a matching security deposit.

Parade Permits

Kent County does not run a standalone parade-permit office; instead, parades and public gatherings are exempted from the county noise ordinance only if the organizer has obtained a waiver from the Division of Inspections and Enforcement. Without that waiver, amplified sound and crowd noise from the event are judged under the same disturbance rules as any other noise source.
