Syringe Disposal
Lake County bans discarded sharps and other biomedical waste from curbside garbage carts, recycling carts and every county convenience center. Under Code § 23-4(c) and § 23-68(a), residents must route needles, syringes and other biomedical waste to a lawfully permitted disposal facility instead, since no county-operated site is authorized to accept it.
