Martin County's Historic Preservation Board approves historical markers and issues certificates of designation under LDR § 4.582.A.3. A designated site or district can carry a plaque prepared by the board with the owner, but under § 4.585.E the plaque, or its removal, changes nothing about the designation or the Division 13 rules that bind the property.
