Mendocino County allows adult personal cannabis cultivation in line with state law: up to six plants per private residence with a total canopy of no more than 100 square feet, cultivated indoors or within a fully enclosed accessory structure on the grounds of a private dwelling. Commercial cultivation is governed by Chapter 10A.17 (Mendocino Cannabis Cultivation Ordinance) and Chapter 20.242 of the Zoning Code.
