Syringe Disposal

Mendocino County's Disease Prevention Demonstration Project, created under Chapter 9.40 in 2010, lets Public Health register pharmacies to sell up to ten hypodermic needles or syringes without a prescription while requiring every registered pharmacy to also enroll in the County of Mendocino Safe Needle Disposal Program and give customers sharps-disposal information.
