Generator Noise
Mendocino County bars indoor and mixed-light cannabis grows from running on generator power as a primary energy source, and any backup generator that is used must meet noise standards under County Code Section 10A.17.070(F). Where no grid or alternative power exists, a generator's noise output must be analyzed by an accredited acoustical engineer and equipped with at least the manufacturer's specified muffler.
