Rodent Control
In the unincorporated Florida Keys (Monroe County), Sec. 21-20(a) requires every parcel, vacant or improved, to be kept clear of debris, garbage, litter, and refuse that tends to become a breeding place or haven for rodents, insects, snakes, and other vermin. The Monroe County Sheriff and code compliance officers enforce it through the citation process in Sec. 21-23.
