Oldham County's Fiscal Court encourages residential and agricultural composting of green waste, food scraps and other fibrous material on your own property under § 50.067, as long as it excludes animal waste. County Code § 91.01 caps that freedom: a compost pile that spreads disease, emits foul odors or gas, or draws rodents and pests becomes a nuisance.
