Bike Lane Rules

Rock County ordinance Sec. 5.02(17)(J) confines bicycle riding, motorized or non-motorized, inside county parks to paths and trails that are specifically designated and marked for that use. Riding off those marked trails anywhere in a Rock County park violates the Parks Regulated chapter's General Rules.

No person shall operate or drive a motorized or non-motorized bicycle on a path or trail within a park except on trails designated and marked for their defined use.

E-Bike Classes

Rock County caps e-bicycles, e-scooters and other vehicles at 15 mph on County Bike Paths that allow their use, under County Ordinance Sec. 5.02(1)(G). Riders must also comply with Wisconsin's electric bicycle statutes, Wis. Stat. 346.77 through 346.82, at all times while on county park trails and bike paths.
