Agricultural Zoning Protection
In unincorporated Rockdale County, the A-R Agricultural-Residential District (Sec. 206-2 of the Unified Development Ordinance) sets aside land where single-family homes coexist with farming. A residence with a private stable needs a minimum 3.0-acre lot, and agriculture or forestry uses need a minimum 5.0-acre lot. Local and collector streets in the district can skip curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
