Park Event Permits

Groups wanting the Silver Creek Preserve pay a $25 permit fee to the County Treasurer under Section 27-2-2, and the Sheriff's Office reviews the application before it's approved. Foley Park pavilions are booked separately under Section 27-1-3 for $25 to $35 a day, and any overnight group at either park posts a $50 refundable damage deposit.

(A) Picnic permits are non-transferable. (B) Bathrooms are public and are not part of the park use permit. ... 27-2-4 SHERIFF'S OFFICE REVIEW. Street Fair Rules

Anyone organizing a festival, musical program, or public assembly in unincorporated St. Clair County needs a permit from the County Board Chairman before the event, under County Code Sec. 8-4-1. Applications must be filed 30 to 100 days ahead of the date and include the expected attendance and start and end hours. The Chairman can deny a permit that would tie up police, block traffic, or serve mainly to advertise a product.
