Structure Height Limits
In unincorporated St. Tammany Parish, the Unified Development Code caps residential structures at 35 feet above natural grade in every single-family zoning district, from the 7-acre E Estate District down to the S-1 and S-2 Suburban Districts. Two-family (TF) lots may build to 45 feet, and multi-family districts reach 45 to 60 feet depending on distance from single-family zoning. The Department of Planning and Development enforces the cap through building permit review.
