Pool Permits
Stafford County incorporated swimming pools, spas and hot tubs into its building code by adopting Section 303 of the Uniform Statewide Building Code's Maintenance Code, Part III, under Code Section 6-16(3)b. Because pool construction is work governed by that statewide code, Section 6-18 also applies: the owner or contractor must pay the county's permit fee before a permit for the pool is issued.
