Political Signs
Sumter County bans any private sign or temporary display, campaign signs included, from property the Board of County Commissioners owns or leases under a maintenance clause. Sec. 13-1002 carves out one narrow exception: signs urging a vote are allowed at BOCC-owned polling and early-voting sites, but only during actual polling hours on election days, and only if they don't block access or create a hazard.
