LA County Code Section 13.56 sets a curfew for minors under 18 from 10:00 p.m. to sunrise (school nights) and 12:00 midnight on weekends, in any public place in unincorporated areas.
LA County Code Chapter 13.56 (Curfew) prohibits any minor under 18 from being in or on any public place between 10:00 p.m. and sunrise on Sunday through Thursday nights, and between 12:00 midnight and sunrise on Friday and Saturday nights. Exemptions include being accompanied by a parent/guardian, on lawful business, attending an organized event, traveling to/from work, or in case of emergency. Daytime/school-hours curfew also applies — minors must be in school during school hours under PC 270.1.
Curfew violation is an infraction — fine up to $250 or community service. Parents may also be cited if the violation results from negligent supervision (PC 272).
