It shall be unlawful for any child under the age of eighteen years... to loiter, idle, wander or stroll or be upon, in or about any of the public streets, avenues, alleys or other public places in the City at any time between the hours of ten p.m., Sunday through Thursday and five a.m. of the succeeding day, and between the hours of twelve midnight on Friday and Saturday and five a.m. of the succeeding day...

City code bars anyone under 18 from loitering or wandering public streets, alleys or other public places unaccompanied by a parent or guardian between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and between midnight and 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. During school holidays and summer vacation, the curfew shifts to midnight-to-5 a.m. every night. The Metro Police Sheriff can extend curfew hours for special occasions, and a separate stricter 9 p.m.-to-5 a.m. curfew applies on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays within a mapped downtown-area zone.
