Full Breakdown

Municipality of Anchorage Parks and Recreation Department Regulation R25.10.004 sets a default daily window for all parks: 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. That baseline yields to whatever is posted at a specific park or spelled out in a use permit, and any area posted "closed" or "prohibited" stays off-limits at all times per R25.10.004(C). The director can also close a use area outright under R25.10.003 with a written public-interest finding.

Violations & Fines

Being in a closed park after hours risks removal or citation by park rangers or police; areas posted "closed" are off-limits at all times, and the director may close any use area on a written public-interest finding.
