Blue Springs, MO Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Section 900.020 of the Blue Springs City Code gives the Director of Parks and Recreation, or a designee, standing authority to declare any City park, or any portion of one, closed to the public at any time, whether temporarily or on a recurring daily schedule, and to close it entirely or to specific uses only. Closures must be posted, and Subsection (A)(1) makes it unlawful for anyone to enter or occupy a closed park or portion contrary to the posted signs or regulations. Subsection (A)(2) separately makes it unlawful to be on park premises, boundaries or facilities outside the posted or entry-sign hours unless the person is part of a scheduled, supervised program, sports league, tournament or event that the Department of Parks and Recreation has approved or sponsors.

The default 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight window applies to every City park run by the Department except Hidden Valley Park, which the Section names as excluded from that schedule. A person or group holding a Parks and Recreation facility reservation permit is exempt from the standard hours only to the extent the permit itself states, so a reservation does not automatically authorize overnight access. Chapter 915's Section 915.010 sets the penalty for this Title: any violation of Title IX is punished under the City's general penalty Section 100.080 unless another penalty is specifically named, and each day a violation continues counts as a separate offense.
