West Sacramento, CA Environmental Rules: Boat Dock Permits (2026)

West Sacramento Municipal Code Chapter 12.56 governs the Etenesh Zeleke Public Boat Dock, the city-operated berthing facility within River Walk Park. Section 12.56.100 bars berthing any vessel there without a permit issued in accordance with posted signage and subject to space availability, and caps any single berthing permit at fifteen consecutive nights from issuance. The city manager can refuse berthing to unseaworthy or oversized vessels, designate where berthing is allowed, and revoke a permit for noncompliance under §§ 12.56.020 and 12.56.140. This is a City of West Sacramento, Yolo County facility rule: it does not cover private dock construction on the Sacramento River, which runs through separate state and federal permitting.
