Chapter 10.24 of the WSMC limits on-street parking to 72 consecutive hours. Vehicles left longer may be cited and towed as abandoned.
The 72-hour clock starts when a vehicle is first parked at a specific block face. Moving the vehicle a few feet does not reset the timer. Time-limit zones (1-hour, 2-hour) override this default rule, as do permit-only districts. Trailers and unhitched RVs may be subject to even shorter on-street limits when parked in residential zones.
Citation under §10.24 plus tow at the owner's expense. Recovery from impound also requires payment of administrative fees.
