West Sacramento, CA Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

West Sacramento Municipal Code § 10.36.020 makes it unlawful to park or leave standing a commercial vehicle rated at ten thousand pounds gross vehicle weight or more, or any trailer or semi-trailer, on any street, alley, public right-of-way or public place within a residential zone, or on any street the council has restricted by resolution. The ban does not apply, per Vehicle Code § 22507.5, when the vehicle is actively making pickups or deliveries, or delivering materials for permitted construction, repair or remodeling work at a building on that street. Outside residential zones, trailers and semi-trailers may still be barred unless signs specifically permit their parking, and the parking manager can set time limits for that permitted parking. The rule governs only streets inside West Sacramento, Yolo County.
