Satellite Beach, FL Environmental Rules: Flood Zones (2026)

The city's Floodplain Management Ordinance, adopted as Chapter 1 of the local flood regulations under Section 3-5 of the City Code, applies to any development wholly or partially within a flood hazard area, covering land subdivision, filling and grading, construction or demolition of buildings, manufactured home placement, tank installation, recreational vehicle placement, and pool installation. The Building Official serves as the designated Floodplain Administrator and must review applications, interpret flood hazard boundaries, and issue floodplain development permits before covered work begins under Sections 103 and 104.
