Long Branch Chapter 345 (Zoning), Special Regulations section, establishes fence height limits. In any residential zone or on lots with residential buildings: front yard fences cannot exceed 4 feet above ground level; side and rear yard fences cannot exceed 6 feet above ground level. At intersections, no fence within 25 feet of two street lines may exceed 3 feet above curb level for traffic visibility. Swimming pool fences must be a minimum of 4 feet high per Chapter 303. Exceptions exist for tennis court fencing (Ch. 312) and pool barriers. These limits apply to all fences whether erected, altered, or reconstructed.
