Bartow County, GA Filming & Production: Location Permits (2026)

The Bartow County Film Permit Ordinance (Code §§ 44-700 through 44-707) requires a film production permit before any motion picture, television, videography or web video production takes place on private or public property in unincorporated Bartow County, including county rights of way (§44-702). This requirement stacks on top of any International Fire Code permit or other county permit that already applies. Filming inside a county facility or building, other than a road, additionally requires the applicant to sign a Location Agreement contract governing use of that property.

Applications must be submitted on a county form not less than ten business days nor more than 180 days before filming begins, signed by an authorized representative of the production (§44-703). The article is administered jointly by the county clerk and the facilities manager or their designee, and the facilities director may impose special conditions based on the production's circumstances (§44-705(a), (b)). 00 per day, with additional charges for use of county roads or facilities under a fee schedule the county administrator can update (§44-705(d)).
